b. Telč, Czech Republic (then Teltsch), June 21, 1850, 
d. Vienna, Dec. 22, 1927, painter of architecture, interior and genre 
scenes. His preferred motifs were Rococo scenes, on his initiative 
Viennese genre painting flourished once again during the 1880s. His 
son Hans H. (1879-1945) was also an artist, who painted mainly 
small-scale market scenes and richly detailed depictions of 
architecture.
