Hanka, Erika, b. Vinkovci (Croatia), May 18, 1905, 
d. Vienna, May 16, 1958. 1942 ballet mistress at the Vienna State 
Opera; saw choreography as "universal synthesis"; worked also at the 
Salzburg and Bregenz Festivals and in films ("1. April 2000", 
1952). Edited the ballet "Hotel Sacher" and wrote the libretto to 
Mussorgsky's "Pictures from an Exhibition".
