b. Vienna, Nov. 27, 1880, 
d. Vienna, March 9, 1931, radiologist. In 1920 head of radiology at 
the Wilhelminenspital hospital in Vienna, 1928 university professor; 
he found a method to detect stomach ulcers. His research deals with 
critical heart weight, chronic suppuration of the spinal cord and the 
X-ray treatment of Basedow´s disease. He was president of a 
sports association and Austrian representative on the International 
Olympic Committee 1923-1928.
