(Austrian Freedom Party, FPOe). From 1975 veterinarian in Spittal an 
der Drau, 1986-2000 member of the Nationalrat, 1994-1996 third 
president of the Nationalrat, since 2000 Federal Minister for Social 
Security and Generations.
