b. Graz (Styria), Aug. 16, 1872, 
d. Munich (Germany), Oct. 10, 1948, conductor, composer, son of 
Friedrich von  Hausegger; 1895/96 guest conductor at the Opera House 
in Graz, from 1899 worked in Germany, from 1920 director of the Munich 
School of Music. He was committed to the Neo-German School both as a 
composer and a conductor.
