!!!Hauser, Carry Carl Maria

b. Vienna, Feb. 16, 1895, 
d. Rekawinkel (Lower Austria), Nov. 7, 1985, painter, graphic artist, 
stage designer, writer. Studied at the Educational and Research 
Institute for Graphics in Vienna (Wiener Graphische Lehr- and 
Versuchsanstalt) and at the Vienna College of Arts and Crafts. From 
1928 chairman of the  Hagenbund (artists' association founded in 
1900). 1939 emigrated to Switzerland, where he lived until 1947. 
Changed his expressionist conception of art into a strict accentuation 
of form.
