Party), prelate. 1899-1927 member of the Landtag of Upper Austria, 
1908 member of the Reichsrat, 1918-1919 president of the Provisional 
National Assembly, 1919-1920 2nd president of the Constituent National 
Assembly, 1920-1927 member of the Nationalrat. 1908-1927 
Landeshauptmann of Upper Austria. Was in favour of dialogue with the 
Social Democratic Party.
