Head Sport AG, manufacturer of sports goods, founded 1950 in Maryland 
(USA) by H. Head after the development of the first metal ski; since 
the beginning of the 1980s manufacture of skis and tennis rackets, 
headquarters in Kennelbach (Vorarlberg); sports footwear manufactured 
since 1987 and golf clubs since 1990. From 1993-1995 the HTM group 
(Head, Tyrolia, Mares, Brixia) was part of the Austria Tabak AG, who 
later sold it to the Swedish investor J. Eliasch. Consolidated 
turnover in 1996: ATS 3.6 billion, 2,200 employees.
