1949-1961 chief editor of the weekly newspaper "Die Furche" and 
co-editor of the magazine "Neues Forum", 1961 script editor at the 
Burgtheater, professor at the University of Vienna. 1949 Prize of the 
City of Vienna, 1972 Grand Austrian State Prize.
