in the Chamber of Commerce, Trade and Industry in Vienna and 
politician (Christian Social Party, later Austrian People's Party, 
OeVP). 1919-1920 member of the Constituent National Assembly, 
1920-1934 member of the Nationalrat, 1926-1938 President of  RAVAG 
(radio station). 1920-1921 Minister of Commerce, Trade, Industry and 
Construction, 1930-1932 Minister of Commerce and Transport, 1945 
Staatssekretaer, 1946-1948 Minister of Commerce and Reconstruction, 
President of the League of United Nations.
