b. Vienna, Nov. 24, 1924, Kammerschauspieler. Originally worked as 
graphic artist and illustrator with newspapers, trained at the drama 
school of G. Gruendgens in Berlin; first engagement at the 
Landestheater Salzburg, later also engagements in Germany and 
Switzerland, since 1948 member of the company (1993 honorary member) 
of the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna; guest performances abroad, 
film and television engagements.
