d. Rimsting (Germany), Jan. 5, 1944, industrialist. 1902-1906 
consultant at the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, later with the Prague 
iron industry; from 1914 employed by the  Oesterreichisch-Alpine 
Montangesellschaft mining company, 1915 commercial director, from 1928 
managing director. Contributed greatly to the re-organisation of the 
enterprise after World War I; representative of the Austrian iron 
industry in international associations. Vice president of the Vienna 
Chamber of Commerce (1930-1933), censor with the Austrian National 
Bank and president of the Federation of Austrian Industrialists.
