b. Welsdorf (Styria), July 5, 1824, 
d. Vienna, May 26, 1881, anatomist, from 1863 university professor in 
Graz, from 1875 in Vienna. The hearing centre in the brain, "H.'s 
convulation" is named after him. Founded the pathological anatomical 
museum in Graz.
