d. Oberpullendorf, Burgenland, Nov. 2, 1996, author of radio plays, 
short stories and poetry, playwright. 1960-67 dramaturge for radio 
plays at the Norddeutscher Rundfunk, 1967-83 head of the department 
for radio plays and literature at the Oesterreichischer Rundfunk. 
Wrote satirical, critical and socially committed radio and television 
plays. Awarded the Austrian State Prize for Radio Plays in 1954 (for 
"Von Hoffnung zu Hoffnung"), Radio Play Award of the Association 
of Persons Blinded in War in 1959 (for "Auf einem 
Maulwurfshuegel").
