b. Vienna, Aug. 29, 1796, 
d. Salzburg, Sept. 17, 1871, lawyer. From 1826 imperial and court 
advocate in Salzburg, founder of the Cathedral Music Association and 
of the  Mozarteum (1841), where he worked as secretary for 30 years; 
1842 played a major role in the building of the Mozart monument in 
Salzburg.
