b. La Spezia, Italy, March 30, 1959, pianist. Studied from 1975 
at the University of Music in Vienna and from 1979 at the Mozarteum in 
Salzburg. Since 1993 appearances at the Salzburg Festival; 
international reputation as a concert pianist and accompanist, 
committed to 20th century music.
