Hinterstoder, Upper Austria, municipality in the district of Kirchdorf 
an der Krems, alt. 591 m, pop. 1,035, area 149.52 km%%sup 2/%, 
bi-seasonal tourism (186,143 overnight stays), located in the upper 
Steyrtal valley, at the foot of the Grosser Priel (2,515 m) and 
the Warscheneck (2,388 m) mountains, close to the Styrian border. 
- Sanatorium, residential home for young people, Hoessbahnen monocable 
railway to the Huttererboeden region, small private power stations, 
forestry, sawmill. Granted market status in 1993. - Late-Baroque 
parish church (1784-87), interior partly from Spital am Pyhrn. Herb 
trail; Stromboding waterfalls on the River Steyr; Dietlhoehle and 
Kreidehoehle caves.
