b. Linz (Upper Austria), April 8, 1908, 
d. Bad Ischl (Upper Austria), July 26, 1975, manager in industrial 
companies. Studied at Vienna University of Technology; from 1940 
technical expert with Steyr-Daimler-Puch-AG, from 1943 member of the 
board of directors at Aircraft Engine Works Ostmark in Wiener Neudorf, 
later manager of Saurer-Werke. 1952-1961 general director of  VOEST 
(Austrian steel industries), industrial utilisation of the LD-process 
and preparation of the merger of the iron and steel works Donawitz and 
Linz. 1961-1966 manager of Daimler-Benz AG in Stuttgart.
