b. Vienna, July 4, 1940, technical expert. Studied technical physics 
in Vienna; in 1965 joined the company Vienna Weak-Current Plants, 
which became part of  Siemens AG Oesterreich in 1971. Occasionally 
worked for Siemens abroad, in 1992 became member of the board of 
directors at Siemens AG Austria and 1994 chairman of the board.
