Hochner, Robert, b. Budapest (Hungary), Aug. 30, 1945, 
d. Vienna, June 12, 2001, journalist, television moderator. 
1966-1968 studied at the Reinhardt Seminar, then studied contemporary 
history at the University of Vienna. 1970-1972 assistant director at 
the Theater in der Josefstadt. From 1974 worked for the Austrian 
broadcasting corporation ORF; from 1979 moderator of the evening news 
broadcast "Zeit im Bild 2", from 1984 senior news 
editor. 1989-1990 chief editor of the "Neue 
Arbeiter-Zeitung"; afterwards moderator of "Zeit im 
Bild 2" again until the autumn of 1999.
