b. Prague, Czech Republic, March 18, 1808, 
d. Vienna, Jan. 2, 1869, philosopher and economist. Played an 
essential role as a co-worker of Baron K. L. von  Bruck in the 
financial reforms of the period of  Neo-absolutism (harmonisation of 
taxation in Austria and Hungary 1851, definition of minting rules, new 
Austrian currency 1857/58); from 1867 President of the Supreme Court 
of Audit.
