Hoffmann, Ernst, b. Wels (Upper Austria), Oct. 14, 1949, 
architect. 1969-1974 studied at the Technische Hochschule in Vienna 
(now Vienna University of Technology); until 1978 employee in various 
architects´ offices in Vienna, Munich and Basel; since 1979 
independent architect with an office in Vienna and since 1992 another 
in St. Poelten.

Projects: students´ hall of residence, Innsbruck, 1979; police 
headquarters, Graz, 1987; fire brigade headquarters, Salzburg, 1993; 
conception of the government quarter and design of the 
"Klangturm", St. Poelten, 1991-1997.
