Hohe Wand, Lower Austria, municipality in the district of Wiener 
Neustadt, alt. 502 m, pop. 1276, area 
24.60 km%%sup %%sup 2/% /%, tourist destination in the area of 
the  Hohe Wand massif. - Game park with animal enclosures, museum of 
local history and alpine life in the Wiener Neustaedter Haus (since 
1981). - At Maiersdorf, parish church dedicated to St. John the 
Baptist, with Romanesque nave and Dollfuss chapel (1935). Valuable 
finds from the New Stone Age discovered at Stollhof in 1864 include 2 
gold discs, spirals and axes (now in the Museum of Natural History, 
Vienna).
