!!!Hohenberg, Markt

Hohenberg, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Lilienfeld, 
alt. 488 m, pop. 1,715, area 56.70 km%%sup 2/%, in the Lower 
Austrian Alpine foothills, in the valley of the Unrechttraisen river, 
at the foot of the Tuernitzer Hoeger mountain (1,372 m). Iron 
processing since the 18%%sup th/%  century; today manufacture of 
pipe insulation, wood-working industry, construction of instruments 
for environmental engineering, some tourism. Parish church (around 
1630), high altar (1691); fortress ruins, remains of the keep and the 
stronghold (13%%sup th/%  century).
