b. Vienna, Jan. 5, 1907, 
d. Vienna, Feb. 10, 1999, fireman and chief of police. As a Social 
Democrat was imprisoned many times under both the corporate state and 
the Nazi regime. As Vienna´s chief fire officer organised in 
1945 a functioning system of fire prevention. In 1947 was appointed 
chief of police in Vienna, his main duty was to prevent communist 
influences within the police force; in office until 1972.
