Hollenegg, Styria, municipality in the district of Deutschlandsberg, 
alt. 456 m, pop. 2,146, area 17.56 km%%sup 2/%, in the Sulmtal 
valley. Manufacture of agricultural machinery. Hollenegg has one of 
the most beautiful castles in Styria. The fortress (first documented 
mention in 1165) was extended by Francesco Marmoro around 1570. 
Hollenegg Castle has 2 courtyards (one with arcades similar to those 
in the Grazer Landhaus and a fountain gazebo), a large hall with 
frescoes (1750) and rooms with stucco ceilings and fireplaces. Most of 
the furniture comes from Riegersburg and Limberg; magnificent park; 
since 1821 owned by the Princes of Liechtenstein; St. Aegydius parish 
church (before 1787, Rococo interior) in the southern courtyard of the 
castle; St. Patrick´s subsidiary church (1777).
