b. Cologne (Germany), April 14, 1793, d. Munich (Germany), Dec. 
9, 1876, ballet master and impresario. from 1806, worked in Vienna 
together with his mother and three sisters, 1811 dancer and 
choreographer at the Leopoldstaedter Theater, 1814 vice-ballet master 
at the Theater an der Wien, 1815-1821 founder and head of the famous 
children's ballet "Horschelt Kinderballett", which trained among 
others, Fanny  Elssler, Theresia  Elssler and Therese Heberle.
