!!!Huebmer, Georg

Huebmer, Georg, b. Gosau (Upper Austria), April 11, 1755, 
d. Nasswald (Lower Austria), March 20, 1833, logging master and 
social reformer. H. constructed the logging system in the 
Rax-Schneeberg area. The wood was transported via the Wiener 
Neustaedter canal to Vienna. popularly known as "King of the Rax". He 
endeavoured to improve the social conditions of the Protestant woodmen 
in the Nasswald area and was instrumental in the creation of a 
Protestant parish at Nasswald.
