Humer, Egon, b. Wels (Upper Austria), April 15, 1954, director 
and producer. 1977-1983 studied at the Hochschule fuer Musik und 
darstellende Kunst (now University of Music and Performing Arts) in 
Vienna; since 1985 freelance director and producer. His works include 
documentary films about Austria during the Nazi era ("Schuld und 
Gedaechtnis", 1992); his film "Emigration N. Y. - 
Geschichte einer Vertreibung" (1996) won numerous international 
prizes.
