Husslein, Hugo, b. Bregenz (Vorarlberg), Aug. 14, 1908, 
d. Vienna, Feb. 2, 1985, gynaecologist. 1955 university professor, 
1956 head of the I.-Semmelweis-Gynaecological Hospital in Vienna, 
1964-1979 head of the II. Gynaecological University Department. 
Opponent of the Austrian law which permits abortions up to the 3rd 
month of pregnancy, ("Fristenloesung"), reformed of obstetrics. 
Introduced prenatal counselling services and created the first health 
card for pregnant women in Austria; founder of the Austrian society 
for family planning.
