b. Pengalengan (Indonesia), Dec. 1, 1930, architect. 1950-1956 studied 
at Graz University of Technology. 1963-1975 partnership with G.  
Domenig, 1971-1972 guest professor at the University of Kassel, from 
1985 professor at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin. In his early 
period, designed buildings in a dramatic, highly expressive style, 
later actively participated in residential building and housing 
projects. 1969 Grand Prix International d'Urbanisme et d'Architecture 
Cannes (with G. Domenig), 1975 European Steel Construction Award.
