b. Guessing (Burgenland), Jan. 19, 1960, writer. Known above all for 
his children's books (among others "Till Eulenspiegel", 1991, 
illustrated by L. Zwerger), since 1993 in charge of the radio series 
"Menschenbilder" ("Human Portraits") and since 1998 the series "Die 
Radiokolleg-Bibliothek", which presents the favourite books of 
prominent contemporary personalities.
