d. Graz, Styria, March 20, 1902, dermatologist, father of Adolf  
Jarisch Jr. Professor at the Universities of Innsbruck and Graz. 
Jointly with K. Herxheimer discovered the Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction 
in the therapy of syphilis.
