Jodl, Friedrich, b. Munich (Germany), Aug. 23, 1849,
d. Vienna, Jan. 26, 1914, philosopher. From 1896 professor in
Vienna, representative of naturalistic monism, which denies any form
of metaphysics. Founded the movement "Ethic Culture" and advocated
a-religious ethical education.
