!!!Johannes von Villach

Johannes von Villach, fresco painter from Carinthia, worked between 
1430 and 1467, son of  Friedrich von Villach, worked in his father's 
workshop and continued to paint in his father's style. Worked on the 
frescoes at Festritz im Rosental, St. Stephan bei Niedertrixen, St. 
Gandolf and Deutsch-Griffen (all in Carinthia). In 1443 moved to 
Laibach and worked there until 1467. His main works are to be found in 
Slovenia.
