Jonas, Rudolf, b. Vienna, March 31, 1909, d. Vienna, Feb. 5, 
1962, travel writer, paediatrician, brother of Franz  Jonas, in 1935 
physician on an expedition to Iceland, in 1938 on an expedition in the 
Himalayas, founder of the Austrian Himalayan Society. From 1946 head 
physician of the Vienna Paediatric Hospital.
