b. Kirchbichl (Tyrol), Feb. 25, 1876, 
d. Vienna, Feb. 19, 1964, revenue officer, 1929-1931 Minister of 
Finance. Played a prominent part in the Reparations Conference of The 
Hague and in preparing the financing concept of the  
Grossglockner-Hochalpenstrasse; reorganised the  Creditanstalt bank 
after its collapse in 1931.
