Koeb, Edelbert, b. Bregenz (Vorarlberg), March 31, 1942, 
painter. 1961-1965 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna; 
since 1974 professor at this institution. 1982-1991 president of the 
Vienna  Secession; since 1990 director of the modern arts centre 
Kunsthaus Bregenz. His works are on the border between art and design; 
designer of fountains and monuments throughout Austria.
