!!!Kölderer, Jörg

b. Weiler Hof near Inzing (Tyrol), around 1465/1470, 
d. Innsbruck (Tyrol), July 1540, court painter and architect to 
Emperor Maximilian I. His style is inspired by the  Danube School of 
painters (Donauschule). Became court painter in 1494, from 1518 
"master builder" of Tyrol.

!Works
Innsbruck: Frescoes at the Wappenturm (1499, destroyed around 
1750), at the "Goldenen Dachl" (1497-1500) and in the Damenstift. - 
Graphic art: Preparatory designs for the triumphal procession and the 
gate of honour, designs for the wood carvings of the patron saints of 
the imperial family and their in-laws (models for the bronze figures 
at the tomb of Maximilian). - Illustrations: Tiroler Jagdbuch, 1500; 
Tiroler Fischereibuch, 1504; Zeugbuecher, around 1507 und around 1512.
