Kainz, Julius, b. Weitersfeld an der Mur (municipality of 
Murfeld, Styria), June 7, 1935, publishing manager. From 1963 
head of advertising for the newspaper publishing house Styria, from 
1968 managing director, from 1969 director. Since 1991 manager of the 
daily newspaper "Die Presse", since 1996 also its publisher. 
Since 1967 member of the Verband der oesterreichischen 
Zeitungsherausgeber und Zeitungsverleger (Association of Austrian 
Newspaper Publishers and Printers), 1979-1989 president of this 
association; since 1973 member of the board of the Austrian Press 
Agency (APA).
