Moved to Trieste in 1901, attended the school of arts and crafts in Vienna, became a member of the artists' group Neukunstgruppe and of the Werkbund, Oesterreicher and worked for the Wiener Werkstaette. Created expressive enamel paintings; his wood-engraving series "Der Hafen von Triest" is considered to be the most remarkable of his graphic works. !Literature H.
