!!!Kalvach, Rudolf

Kalvach, Rudolf, b. Vienna, Dec. 22, 1883, d. Kosmonosy 
(Czech Republic), March 13, 1932, graphic artist. Moved to Trieste in 
1901, attended the school of arts and crafts in Vienna, became a 
member of the artists' group  Neukunstgruppe and of the  Werkbund, 
Oesterreicher  and worked for the  Wiener Werkstaette. Created 
expressive enamel paintings; his wood-engraving series "Der Hafen von 
Triest" is considered to be the most remarkable of his graphic works.
