Kamler, Heinrich von, b. Auspitz (Hustopeč, Czech Republic), July 12, 1836, 
d. Vienna, Dec. 29, 1918, moderniser of the Austrian postal system. 
1881 Head of the Postal and Telegraph Administration for Oesterreich 
unter der Enns (Lower Austria and Vienna). Set up the postal savings 
bank service in 1883, expanded the pneumatic dispatch network and the 
telephone service, which was taken over by the governmental 
authorities 1890-95.
