b. Deutsch Haslau (municipality of Prellenkirchen, Lower Austria), April 3, 1925, 
d. near Donnerskirchen (Burgenland; motorcycle accident), Feb. 2, 
1984, motorcyclist and businessman. Successful in speedway races, 
grass-track races and especially dirt-track races. Won 17 Austrian 
titles between 1953 and 1959.
