!!!Kanitz, Otto Felix

Kanitz, Otto Felix, b. Vienna, Feb. 5, 1894, d. Buchenwald 
concentration camp (Germany), March 29, 1940, plumber, became an 
important educationalist. From 1911 worked for the  
"Oesterreichische Kinderfreunde", founded in 1919 the first 
"Children's Republic" in Gmuend, 1932-1934 member of the Bundesrat. In 
November, 1938 arrested and deported to the concentration camp.
