d. Walbersdorf (municipality of Mattersburg, Burgenland), March 17, 
1965, studied law, politician (Christian Social Party, Austrian 
People's Party/OeVP). Member of the Croatian Minority, editor of the 
Croatian newspaper "Hrvatske Novine". From 1927 member of the Landtag, 
1930-1934 member of the Landesrat, 1934-1938 member of the State's 
Council (Staatsrat), 1945-1956 Landeshauptmann of Burgenland and 
1956-1960 1st president of the Landtag of Burgenland.
