Karlbad, Carinthia, alt. 1,687 m, an old and primitive spa 
(sweating-baths in hollowed trunks for the treatment of rheumatism) in 
the municipality Krems in Carinthia, at the foot of the Karlnock 
Mountain (or Koenigstuhl Mountain), in the uppermost part of the 
Leobenbachtal Valley (Karl = diminutive of the German word "Kar" 
meaning cirque).
