Kaser, Norbert Conrad, b. Brixen/Bressanone (South Tyrol), April 
19, 1947, d. Bruneck/Brunico (South Tyrol), Aug. 21, 1978, 
writer. After secondary school temporarily in a Capuchin monastery, 
started studying art history in Vienna in 1969, returned to South 
Tyrol in 1971 and taught at various schools until 1976. From 1968 
published satirical and critical poems, mostly with autobiographic 
elements, short prose and political texts. It was only after his death 
that his significance for modern German-language literature in South 
Tyrol was recognised.
