Katholischer Volksbund; central non-political organisation for all 
Austrian Catholics, founded in 1905 at the 5%%sup th/%  Austrian 
Catholic Rally in Vienna; in 1908 it was called 
Katholischer Volksbund; in 1919 united with the  Pius-Verein to 
form "the Volksbund der Katholiken Oesterreichs (Association of 
Austrian Catholics)"; dissolved in 1938.
