Kattnigg, Rudolf, b. Treffen (Carinthia), April 9, 1895, 
d. Klagenfurt (Carinthia), Sept. 2, 1955, composer and conductor. 
From 1921 teacher at the College of Music in Vienna, 1928-1934 
director of the conservatory and conductor of symphony and choral 
concerts in Innsbruck. Composer of sophisticated light music.

operettas: Kaiserin Katharina, 1935; Prinz von Thule, 1935; 
Balkanliebe, 1936; Bel ami, 1949. - Operas, ballets, symphonies, 
orchestral and choral works, film music, adaptation of K. Zeller's 
posthumous operetta "Die Rose vom Woerthersee".
