Kaufmann, Herbert, b. Moedling (Lower Austria), Oct. 27, 
1949, manager and politician (Austrian Social Democratic Party, SPOe). 
Studied economics in Vienna; then worked in the Lower Austrian Chamber 
of Labour, of which he was the director in the years 1985-1999. 
1988-1994 member of the Landtag of Lower Austria, 1994-1999 member of 
the Nationalrat (main legislative body of the Federal Republic of 
Austria). Since 1999 chief executive officer of the  Flughafen Wien 
AG.
